NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TO CONSIDER GRANT OF CHARTER TO

Grimmway Academy Charter School

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Arvin Union School District will conduct a public hearing on the petition by Grimmway Academy Charter School for a charter to operate a classroom-based charter school under authority of Education Code Section 47605, within the territory of the Arvin Union School District in Kern County.

Education Code Section 47605(b) provides that the District shall hold a public hearing within 30 days of receipt of a petition for a charter school. At the public hearing, the District is to consider the level of support for the petition by the District's teachers and other employees, and by parents.

The public hearing shall be held on October 27, 2010, from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. in the Gymnasium, located at Haven Drive Middle School, 341 Haven Drive, Arvin, CA 93203.
