INVITATION TO BID
NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids shall be accepted by the Arvin Union School
District of Kern County, State of
1) All Priority 1 E-rate eligible services (district wide except cellular services) to be provided by a CPUC certified service provider, including all analog and digital services and Internet service. Multi-year contracts are sought.
2) Maintenance contract for all E-rate eligible network equipment for twenty (20) hours per month. Response time for maintenance must be within one (1) hour. Contract may include non-E-rate maintenance paid for by district separately from E-rate funding. Multi-year contracts are sought.
3) Cellular service for forty-seven (47) accounts/numbers with minutes in a ‘pooled minute plan’. Phones have been purchased or will be purchased separately. Vendors are required to provide a demonstration model phone with service for a period of three-five days for personnel to check cellular coverage.
Service providers must be located within a one (1) hour drive of the Arvin Union School District in Arvin, CA. Bids shall be opened and examined at the District Office immediately after the time listed above. Each
bid submitted shall be sealed and marked 1)
‘Priority 1 E-rate Eligible Services’; 2) ‘Network Maintenance Contract’; or 3)
‘Cellular Service’. It is not the policy of the district to purchase on the
basis of lowest price alone. Other criteria for selection is
listed along with specifications. The
Arvin Union Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
bids, to waive any informality or irregularity, and to sit and act as sole
judge of the merit and qualifications of items offered, and may accept whatever
bid is deemed to be in the best interest of the school district
