PowerPoint Presentation Contest Rules
All presentations
will be viewed for rule compliance prior to viewing by judges. Presentations
that do not meet the rules will be returned to the participant with an
explanation. Deadline for submission
is February 28, 2008, at 3:10 p.m.
1) Only students of
2) Presentations must be made by the
student. No commercially prepared presentations are allowed.
3) Participants may submit one
presentation per category.
4) No obscene language, obscene text, or
obscene musical lyrics are allowed. The
contents of the presentation and any sound track in the presentation should be
appropriate for a K-8 educational setting.
5) Participants can reveal only their
first name in the presentation. By entering the contest you agree to have your
presentation shown on our web site or as part of demonstrations.
6) All content (including any graphics,
Shockwave files, video, and sound) must be a part of the presentation and
cannot be linked from a file (such as a web site or network location). Judges
may not have access to the web or network while viewing the presentation.
Hyperlinks are allowed as part of the presentation as appropriate but not
viewing or listening to the above categories.
7) By entering the contest you agree to
abide by the judges’ decisions. Judges will submit their judging forms, which
will be returned to the participant. Judges are not staff, students, or
community members (of AUSD or Arvin).
Divisions: K-2nd; 3rd-5th;
6th-8th (students only)
Categories: Autobiography- Students
present their life story (or parts of it). Use only first names. General- All other presentations that do not fit the above
category. Content Areas
(6th-8th grade only): Math, Science, Language Arts,
Social Studies
Submit: Student submits the entry form
below. Teacher will be contacted via email with a network folder location to
copy the presentation into.
Awards: 1st, 2nd, and
3rd place in each division and category will be awarded a trophy
(see attached award chart). 1st place in each division and category
will also receive prize.
