SMART Notebook Lessons Contest Rules

All lessons will be viewed for rule compliance prior to viewing by judges. Lessons that do not meet the rules will be returned to the participant with an explanation. Deadline for submission February 28, 2008, at 3:10 p.m.

 

1)    Only staff of Arvin Union School District may participate.

2)    All participants must have at least one student enter in one contest (any contest, 1st-8th grade only!)

3)    Lessons must be made by the individual participating. No commercially prepared presentations are allowed. You are allowed to use objects and graphics for EdCompass and other sites but they must be an integral part of your lesson.

4)    Participants may submit one presentation per category.

5)    The contents of the presentation and any sound track in the presentation should be appropriate for a K-8 educational setting.

6)    By entering the contest you agree to have your presentation shown on our web site or as part of demonstrations of the use of SMART Notebook software.

7)    All content (including any graphics, Shockwave files, video, and sound) must be a part of the presentation and cannot be linked from a file (such as a web site or network location). Judges may not have access to the web or network while viewing the presentation. Hyperlinks are allowed as part of the presentation as appropriate but not viewing or listening to the above categories.

8)    By entering the contest you agree to abide by the judges’ decisions. Judges will submit their judging forms, which will be returned to the participant. Judges are not staff, students, or community members (of AUSD or Arvin).

Division: Divisions K-2; 3-5, 6-8;

Categories: - Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, PE, Art, Tech

Submit: Staff submits the entry form below. Teacher will be contacted via email with a network folder location to copy the presentation into.

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division and category will be awarded a trophy. 1st place in each division and category will also receive a prize yet to be determined.
